An excerpt from [Article-Ananias and Sapphira Properly Explained by T-Ralph] . Follow the link for full explanation.

The Holy Spirit will never strike a New Testament believer to death as He did to Ananias and Sapphira (Jn 3:16, Rom 5:8-10, 17, 6:23)

Ananias and Sapphira were indeed unbelievers trying to join the church through deception as other unbelievers wanted to because the church shared all they had together in love (Act 4:34, 5:13)

In conclusion, whenever we read or meditate on the story of Ananias and Sapphira, we see a God that is ready to protect the interest of His people (Christians) from the evil craftiness of the people of the world and not a God who is ready to strike down His own people (Christians) for committing a sin. You can be rest assured in God's love that He will not allow any unbeliever to deceive you in business deals or anything no matter how naive you
may look; the Holy Spirit is there to guide/lead you and strike down any deceiver. ...
