I've personally have to come to know that God's word usually follows that order! We first read the Word in our Bibles or hear the Word from a preacher (Faith is built because Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, Rom 10:17)! Thereafter, a revelation (like deeper insight) may follow, that's when we have seen the Word! When we look, we take time to meditate and ponder on the Word, here, we observe and more deeper revelations are seen and obtained! ...

Finally, we have to handle the Word! As in the Word has to become flesh with us (Jn 1:14), I.e., become real and factual to us & not just mere words! That's what the write of the book of 1John means! The writer says he declares/preaches/teaches what he has heard, seen, looked and handled (what operates in his life)! ...

To me, that means we have to be seers, lookers, handlers and doers of the Word we have read/heard! This isn't just obedience alone but operators of the Word! For example, Scripture says we were healed by His stripes (1Pet 2:24), hence, no sickness must dwell in us! However, how many times do we still fall ill! We have to begin to handle the Word of Life according to 1st John! That's the challenge to us o, my brethren!! Not that I've attained it myself, but, I strife to go higher and deeper by praying in tongues for growth and development in the Spirit too as said in Jude 1:20. ...

Hmmmn.tnks for dt mimmytrippie. Permit me 2support dt Ps 103:7 wt Exo 33:12-23. I wnt us to note specificaly verses 13,17,21,22. My point s ds: the clear distinctn s as a result of d heart desire/expectatn of each party.Moses prayed a radical prayer in vs 12-13,he askd God 2teach him His ways.He understood d fact dt it tks God alone 2personaly show one hw best 2pls Him.God answrd hs prayers and taught him His ways(vs 21-23). In contrast 2dt,we al knw d Isrealites were mor concernd wt d deeds of God dn d ways of God.I assume dts wt d psalmist reported/prophesied in Ps 103:7. ...

Hmmmmmm! Thanks Mimmy! Deep thoughts! Thanks guys! Ps 103:7 - HIS Ways and HIS acts... The difference is INTIMACY (Moses' stand to seek God's face; ways) as opposed to familiarity (Israelites' stand to seek God's hands; acts) with GOD. I would rather choose intimacy with God! Moses ask to see God's face, he longed for intimacy! That should be the new testament christian's cry...2Cor 3:18 - beholding as in the Mirror...and are transformed into the very Image... ...
